No semblance of a proper living...
Song of the moment: Rie Tanaka - Fields of Hope (Gundam SEED Destiny Insert Song)
konna ni tsumetai tobari no fukaku de
anata wa hitori de nemutteru
inori no utagoe sabishii nohara wo
chiisa na hikari ga terashiteta
anata no yume wo miteta
kodomo no you ni waratteta
natsukashiku mada tooku
sore wa mirai no yakusoku
(Beneath a veil so cold,
You deeply sleep, all alone
The melody of prayer; on the lonely fields,
a little light shined
I watched as you dreamed
You laughed like a child
So dear, and yet so far -
That is the promise of our future)
Fields of Hope by Rie Tanaka
Hope you people out there are enjoying your freedom in the wilderness of Singapore because we P6 (Full-Time Semestral Project) students from MIT0312 are stuck in a glass encased room for 9 1/2 hours every weekday and is at the mercy of our project supervisors. Especially since my 'cage' is conveniently located next to the 'Hall of Innovation' where our schools 'projects' are displayed for visitors and VIPs to browse through. Thus, no food, games, irrelevant reading material, music players nor any kind of 'meditation' (you should know what I mean...) is allowed. This is a very large contrast when compared to the other end of the building, where SJ pretty much enjoys free reign of his lab (grrr...).
Well, it could be worse...my partner isn't as high level a character as Gary is (my classmates should know what I mean...) however I just found out today that actually what I initially thought was a group project is actually still an individual project so keep me in your prayers', people.
To give you a brief overview of my project, basically I am supposed to create a JAVA program which allows you to draw loops, is able to save the XY coordinates of each point in the loop and eventually, it should be able to test the hand-eye(?) coordination of a Parkinson's Disease patient. Please pray to God that I'll be able to finish within the 12 week time-frame which I am given.
Anyways, on to happier things...I've finally completed my ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam and below is a real nice picture of it...
(Click for larger pic)
I also found out from Melvin about something which shouldn't really concern me but it still does put my heart at ease...so Praise the Lord and AMEN!
My mom has been asking me to stay at SKMC long term (again) and I am still thinking and praying about it. It's more or less confirmed that I'll at least go back to HKMC once the 40 DOP is over. Only time will tell which Church I'll stay at eventually...

One week to make a difference
Song of the moment: YeLLOW Generation - Tobira no Mukou e
Kazashita PRIDE ga machigai da to shite mo
Egaiteta risou ga kuzurekakete mo
Koko ni aru subete ni uso wo tsukareta to shite mo
Kitto koko ni iru
Bokura wa ima demo sakenderu
Shinji-tsuzukeru dake ga kotae ja nai
Yowasa mo kizu mo sarakedashite
Tsukiyabure tobira no mukou e
(Even if the pride you hold over your head is a mistake
Even if the ideal you paint crumbles
Even if everything here turns to lies and wears you down
I'll definitely be here
The two of us are screaming, even now
Just continuing to believe isn't the answer
Expose your weaknesses and your wounds
If we don't continue to struggle, nothing will begin
So break through, beyond the door)

Missed last week's post due to my exams. Many apologies to those who were eagerly anticipating my next post... ^_^
As you all can see, I've just changed my blog's skin/template. I would have loved to say that this was created by me but unfortunately, its not. The creator is aoi and you can visit her blog just by clicking the link on the left AFTER you finish reading mine of course.
About my exams, I don't really have anything good to say about it. I screwed up one of the questions on my last paper, which will probably cost me 20 marks and an 'A' grade in OODP (a.k.a 2nd year JAVA programming). I'll also need another miracle to pass this semester's Maths.
After the exams, the guys(SJ, Kris and Jon) stayed over at my house on Friday night. Watched a little bit of Yu Yu Hakusho on cable then went down to the 24 hour coffee shop near my house to have a bite of supper. After all that, went back to my house to play FM and talk about lots of crap (incl. SJ's problem) before finally hitting the sack at around 5am the next morning. It was enjoyable to some extent, except for SJ and Jon trading not-so-friendly banter with each other throughout the night (well, actually that was quite funny...).
Taking the chance now to persue my other interests (eg:Gundam models, anime) before I am required to go back to school on the 25th to start on my final year project for poly. I just rearranged my entire manga collection and thrown out a lot of stuff from my room. Later, I've got a ZGMF-X10A Freedom to construct and a Hana & Alice VCD and Steamboy on DivX to watch. Of course, once again many thanks to those who arranged our schedule to only have a week's break before going back to school again.
Already on the fourth week of 40 DOP at SKMC. Still kinda miss the people at HKMC. Honestly, I am still pretty sure I'll go back to Hakka after 40 DOP at this point of time. However, I am forced to consider whether I should stay at SKMC after all this is over. I know Mel's going to Thailand for a Community service thing with the school so he won't be around for awhile. Just a few hours ago, Blond messaged me and said that the CG and SS people miss me. I wonder how true is that really...maybe its just Blond? One should always consider how deep am I really rooted into HKMC. Deep enough or just on the surface? Will continue praying about this.
May post a picture of Freedom after I finish building it, provided I have the time.

Don't think...just feel
Song of the moment: Robbie Williams - Feel
Come and hold my hand
I wanna contact the living
Not sure I understand
This role I've been given
I sit and talk to God
And he just laughs at my plans
My head speaks a language
I don't understand
I just wanna feel
Real love feel the home that I live in
Cos I got too much life
Running through my veins
Going to waste
I don't wanna die
But I ain't keen on living either
Before I fall in love
I'm preparing to leave her
Feel by Robbie Williams
I was planning to update yesterday but went around looking for a new skin for the blog instead. Well, as you can see, I am still looking. So if anyone has any good blog skins/templates to recommend me, please feel free to post the link in my tagboard.
Went to my first SKMC Purpose Driven Life Small Group last friday. Keith has a pretty nice place, even though there was a slight lack of ventilation in the living room where we were having our discussion. The people in my group are pretty nice, other than Andy and Sebastian, there was also another fellow NYP student, Bernard and there was also Issac, Zhongxian (is that how to spell his name?) and a couple of Sebastian's friends from SRJC. Looking forward to the next one tomorrow, even though Mel will only come from the 3rd session onwards. The program seems beneficial and I really hope to learn a lot from this.
Church at SKMC on Sunday was alright too. Their Youth worship seems much more lively than the one at Hakka and the people there seems to have no qualms about lifting their hands and jumping about during worship (well, some people anyway...). Pretty nice overall.
(Note to Mel: You shouldn't call them that you know, one must think about the way their brought up and the schools they went to...I could have become one of them you know if I got into my first choice primary school.)
Then met KK at Far East (This Sunday, KK comes down to Bishan...I don't care...). He's still surviving NS at Tekong and complains about certain people there. I guess in about a year or so from now, I will be in a similar situation from him. While I am not exactly looking forward to it, I don't really dread it either. I am just treating it as another phase of my life (Or maybe it's just that the reality hasn't sunk in yet...). Well, I got to start exercising to prepare for NS soon. Otherwise I'll be in there for an extra 3-6 months, which of course, will suck totally.
My first exam, Internet Programming, is finally over as of yesterday. While there were a couple of unexpected questions, I think I should be able to pass the paper without worrying too much. Got a maths and a Programming exam coming up next Tuesday and Thursday respectively. Wish me luck and of course, keep me in your prayers too.
Jon and SJ brought me to Choa Chu kang to eat lunch today. What possesed me to go there still eludes me (although it was most likely to be Jon's incessant persuasions). The Hokkien Mee there is pretty good. Then I finally acquired a copy of 'Hana and Alice' VCD which I have been looking for in Video shops and Bittorrent for the past couple of months. I've also downloaded 'House of Fury' on XviD. If anyone wants, I can burn a copy for you if you so wish, provided you provide me with a CD-R or CD-RW on which to burn. Just post a comment on my tagboard and pass me the CD.
(Note to someone, who hopefully bothered to check her tagboard for a link to this blog: Sorry for frightening you initially. You shouldn't keep it closed for too long you know...I really want to know whats going on in Church while I am gone. Well, since I kind of miss the people there and all...)
