Tuesday, August 24, 2004In the mood...for Birthdays?? Song of the moment: T.M Revolution - Zips There are times that I find myself feeling completely useless in certain situations. While everyone around me is busy doing SOMETHING, all I can do is sit there, trying to absorb what has just happened. In the end, all I can offer is... Lots and lots of events happened this past couple of days. To start of, it was Melvin's birthday last Thursday. Kenneth and I got him the $59 Adidas All-Blacks Tee-Shirt he wanted (Currently, its still MY gift...I haven't got my money back from Kenneth yet). He said it was very comfortable (It better be...) and he appreciated it a lot. Then came Saturday, which coincidentally was SJ's birthday. After the make-up lab session in school, we went to Suntec to have a buffet with a couple of friends and colleagues from SJ's time at Moscow Circus. Without going into too much detail, it was quite good (although the food wasn't). In case some of you still don't know or have forgotten (which sadly, amounts to quite a number of people), it was my Birthday on Sunday. To those who have forgotten, I won't blame you all for forgetting, just remember next time and to those who remembered, many thanks for your 'Happy Birthday' SMSes and wishes. In celebration of my Birthday, my parents brought me to Genghis Khan at Taka for my birthday dinner on Saturday night (never EVER eat 2 buffets in a row...). It was good, especially the Shark's Fin Soup. I also got two tee-shirts, one from my classmates and the other from Melvin, who also threw in an Adidas bottle into the package. On Sunday, I got a HongBao from Auntie LK in Church and Melvin treated me to a movie (AvP - Rating: 3.5/5) at Cineleisure. Thanks for everything guys, you made it the best birthday EVER! Monday was a little interesting for me. Wallz got a new haircut, a very big change from his previous Sadako-like hairstyle. Still, he finally got his haircut, which is certainly, a good thing. Later, Nat got into a minor accident during dinner and decided to give our C++ lab session a miss. We also got our C++ projects (teamed up with THE couple, Feli and Sun Feng. With SJ, Jon and POT going together, Nat and Gary will probably be a team). Hopefully, the project will go well. Thanks again to everyone who made my Birthday a smashing success!! |
