Gomen ne, Kimura-san...boku wa HERO janai! (Sorry, Mr Kimura...you aren't my HERO!)

Song of the moment: Mongol 800 - Chiisana Koi no Uta

hiroi uchuu no kazu aru hitotsu
aoi chikyuu no hiroi sekai de
chiisana koi no omoi wa todoku
chiisana shima no anata no moto e
anata to deai toki ha nagareru
omoi wo kometa tegami mo fueru
itsushika futari tagai ni hibiku
toki ni hageshiku toki ni setsunaku
hibiku ha tooku haruka kanata e
yasashii uta ha sekai wo kaeru

hora anata ni totte daiji na hito hodo
sugu soba ni iru no
tada anata ni dake todoite hoshii
hibike koi no uta
hora hora hora hibike koi no uta

(One of many in this wide universe
In the great world of this blue earth
This tiny feeling of love will reach
You on the little island
Time have passed since I first met you
The letters with my feelings grow in numbers
Without us realizing, it is already echoing between us
Sometimes intense, sometimes sad
It echoes distantly
This gentle song changes the world

Look, the person who is important to you
Is right beside you
I just want to reach only you
This echoing love song
Listen, Listen, Listen to this echoing love song)

It's been some time since I've seen a movie which really fell below my expectations and on Saturday, I found out HERO was one of those movies. HERO, as you might already know, is a sequel to a highly acclaimed J-Drama of the same name, starring Takuya Kimura (the GATSBY guy) and Takako Matsu (Brave Story's Wataru). The TV series is basically about how Kimura's character, Kuryu Kohei, a former juvenile delinquent becomes a public prosecutor and takes on various criminals in court. While it's not a must to watch the TV series before this, it'll enable you to better understand the character's back story and the movie's various references if you did. The jokes were lame, but somewhat humorous. Chemistry between the various people in the persecutor's were quite good (I really liked Abe Hiroshi ever since Trick and this movie reminded me of why I felt he was such a good actor...). The plot however, seemed a bit convoluted and failed to sustain my interest at times. Also, the never-ending shots of Lady Justice outside the courtroom annoyed me to no end. (Rating:2/5 stars)

On a side note, I am pleased to announce that my faction (ClubHootHoot) in Grenado Espada (MMORPG which I am currently playing) has finally gained its first two colonies in last Sunday's Colony War!

So tell me, is it a sign from God or just a mere coincidence? Well, honestly I don't believe in coincidences. Everything does happen for a reason. But for what reason...?
