Song of the moment: The Brilliant Green - Ash Like Snow (Mobile Suit Gundam 00 2nd OP theme)

Kokoro ni hishimeku haitoku no yami
Kimi no koe ga masui no you ni
Tsumetaku kankaku o ubatteku

Mujun o oikakete mo
Owaranai
Naze boku wa tatakau no?

Tatoeba hikari ga kieusete
Kono hoshi ga ochite mo
Wasurenai yo
Sono chiisa na negai ga
Aru beki basho e to michibiku

(An immoral darkness crowds my heart
Like anesthesia, your voice
Coldly steals away my sensations

Even if I pursue contradictions
They won't end
Why do I fight?

Even if light vanishes
And this Earth is corrupted
I won't forget
Your little wish
Guides you to the place where it must be at)
Ash Like Snow by The Brilliant Green

Yeah, Boo to you to Raun...
It's been a horrendously long time since I updated over here (Blame it on anime, FM 2008 and my new PSP). Uh huh, I bought a second-hand PSP slim in very good condition from my friend, Andy, who graciously sold it to me at a reasonable price of $250. So as of now, my latest 'distraction' would be Crisis Core and Warriors Orochi, in addition to my leading of Bolton Wanderers into the Champions League in FM 2008. Crazy times, yeah...

Anyways, the winter 07/08 anime season came and went. Now, the new Spring 2008 anime season has come upon us and with it comes some of the most highly anticipated anime series for this year. Let us look at some of the anime yours truly will be or is already following...

Currently Following

Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 - Probably one of, if not the most anticipated anime for this year. R2 continues from one year after the end of Season 1, which culminated in a stand off between Zero/Lelouch and Suzaku. One year after the Black Rebellion, the Order of the Black Knights have been defeated, Zero declared dead and Area 11 has been relegated to the status of "Remedial Territory". The seemingly normal Lelouch Lamperouge is caught up in a terrorist attack and meets a mysterious green haired girl, offering him his true identity...

The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of URUK - A young warrior Gil, embarks on a quest to find a fabled weapon, said to be in the highest floor of Druaga... Seems your typical fantasy anime fare but the pilot episode was funny, so I'll give it a few more episodes to flesh out the story...

Itazura na Kiss - Shoujo romance anime. The Taiwanese and Singaporeans know it better as "It Started With a Kiss". Not-so-smart girl chases after the school's number one student but gets rejected. When her home gets destroyed in an earthquake, she and her father goes to live with her father's friends, who happens to be the said guy's parents...

Soul Eater
- Revolves around three groups of students from the Shinigami School for Weapon Technicians. Each team comprises of a technician and human weapon, trying to make the latter into a 'death scythe', a weapon fit to be used by Shinigami himself.

Toshokan Sensou
- In the near future, the government controls the media through the Media Improvement Act. Standing against them are the Libraries, who opposes the government and has its own 'army'. Throughout the years, this struggle has escalated into a full-scale armed conflict...
This is one of the anime's which i have a real interest in (Other than R2, of course...) because I really like the concept and animation is done by Production I.G (Ghost In The Shell, Blood+, Ghost Hound).

Other shows that I am keeping my eye on are Blassreiter (gives me a kind of Kamen Rider feel...), Wagaya no Oinari-sama and Kyouran Kazoku Nikki (another 'anime' anime, if you get my drift).

~~~
It's over...well not that it began in the first place. Things were never going in the right direction and I guess I should start focusing on the things that do matter...
