Let me be your wings...

Song of the moment: Fiction Junction feat. YUUKA - Akatsuki no Kuruma (Gundam SEED insert song)

Kazesasou kokage ni utsubusete naiteru
Mi mo shiranu watashi wo watashi ga miteita
Yuku hito no shirabe wo kanaderu GITAARA
Konu hito no nageki ni hoshi ha ochite

Yukanaide, donna ni sakende mo
ORENJI no hanabira shizuka ni yureru dake
Yawarakana hitai ni nokosareta
Te no hira no kioku haruka
Tokoshie no sayonara tsuma hiku

(Shaded by the trees, calling out to the wind, I'm lying face-down crying
I saw a version of myself I didn't even recognize
On this guitar I'm playing the melody of someone who's passed on
A star falls in the grief of someone who'll never be seen again

Please don't go, no matter how much you scream,
all it will do is quietly stir these orange petals
Saved on my soft brow,
I send the memories in my palm far away
An eternal farewell as I keep strumming)
Akatsuki no Kuruma by Fiction Junction feat. YUUKA

It was a bit of a roller coaster ride for someone in my class today. What started out as patient anticipation turned out to be gloomy disappointment in the end. I offer no words of comfort, all I can give is a single sentence, "Fool for your Loving...No More!!!". At least she openly rejected you, whereas for me all I can do is hope for...

Had a great game of Badminton last Wednesday in school. Even though I only won one game (which was because I was paired with the best badminton player in class), I enjoyed myself and had some much needed exercise. My new Wilson Match 3000 was quite nice to play with but I obviously need a LOT of work on my serve, which is absolutely horrible.

Watched Dodgeball with Melvin and Kenneth yesterday. It wasn't as lame funny as Harold and Kumar and had more seriousness and depth in plot (whatever seriousness and depth you can find in comedies at least). Nonetheless, it was thoroughly entertaining and kept me laughing in my seat. (4/5 stars)

I am still having a brilliant time making fun of SJ by saying that I want to woo his sister, Lim Min. After all, we read the same comics, watch the same anime and she usually borrows DVDs and comics from me, even though she doesn't know me very well. But hey, it's a great time to get to know each other right? ^_^ Anyways, I don't really believe in "Love at first sight" and I have a policy of only wooing girls whom I actually know quite well to a certain extent (even if I don't meet them regularly... ;-P). So don't worry SJ, she hasn't officially become my target yet. As long as you can keep me away from her anyway...lol!

Too bad my life ain't part of perfection...

Song of the moment: D.N.Angel 2nd ED Theme - Hajimari No Hi

tsumetai kuuki ga karada wo yasashiku tsutsumu
yagate tooku no sora ga shirami hajimeru
dare mo inai asa no machi ni tatsu mainichi

sukoshi ookiku iki wo sui konde miru
karappo no kaze wa watashi ni totemo yoku niteru
doushite yoru wa hito wo sabishiku suru no?

(The air is cold I wrap my body from it's touch
The beginning of the good for nothing sky that is far apart
Everyday I stand out in the morning street with everyone

Watching the crowded open sea I breathe in the sour air
I feel the wind easing my mind
Why do we rust so easily?)
Hajimari No Hi - D.N.Angel 2nd ED Theme

Despite a slight bout of depression on Saturday, everything's alright now. I really appreciate everyone's effort to try not to leave me out but sometimes I've got to think through a few things by myself...

Anyways, I had a good time last Saturday (Jodi's Birthday Party). Went to Plaza Singapura to have Pizza Hut for Dinner then took the train to City Hall and walked to One Fullerton. I drank Singapore Sling for the first time ever. It tasted...Okay I guess. Natalie's Cosmopolitian had a lot more kick to it though, if you know what I mean (probably contained more alcohol...). Left early with Gary and Nat. I also got a new badminton racket en-route to One Fullerton. It's one of those cheap Wilson one's and it set me back by $12.90. I'll get to test it out during this Wednesday's badminton session.

The pressure just gets bigger. We all have to hand it a report on our respective topics for Semestral Project this Friday. Also, we got two weeks left before our C++ project deadline. Good Luck to all then.

Can you feel the love tonight?

Song of the moment: 刘德华(Andy Lau) - 冰雨(Bing Yu)

Currently I am speaking to SJ on MSN Messenger and it has been confirmed that Kris and Keting are OFFICIALLY a couple. Let me wish them a happy AND healthy relationship and many blessings for their future. For the record, their the 3rd school couple, after Sun Feng/Feli and Winnie/Ryan. Congratulations!!

I can confirm that I have at least failed my networking. Skipping two full 20-mark questions will definitely not help me in passing this paper. However, the good news is that I am confident of getting a more than decent mark for my Maths paper. All thanks to Jodi-sensei!! Without your patient explanations, I wouldn't have made it.

I watched two movies on Sunday, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle with Melvin and a Princess Mononoke fansub at home with my bro. Basically, White Castle is your standard stoner movie. In other words, a movie about stoners. It thoroughly deserves its M18 rating. Still, the reason its funny is because its lame. So...(Rating: 3.5/5)
Princess Mononoke however, is in a league of its own. Its a movie about Prince Ashitaka, heir to the leadership in his village, who gets infected with a fatal curse while protecting his village from a demon. So he journeys west, in search of a cure before the curse kills him. While traveling he meets a girl, San, who was raised by wolves and the story continues. This is probably one of the best, if not the best work by renowned Japanese anime director, Hayao Miyazaki. One of the best anime movies I have watched, even though it has a sort of 'Save the Environment' theme. (Rating:5/5)

Of Matrices and VLSMs...

Song of the moment: D.N.Angel ED Theme - Yasashii Gogo

Sasayaka na jikan mo wazukana mune no itami mo
Kirakira to kagayai te totemo itoshiku omoeta

Kimi wa damatte iru kaze ni yurare te iru
sore ga tada ureshiku te sukoshi uta o utatta

Mitsume rare ta ra hontou wa iki mo deki nai
nee...warawa nai de

(Even peaceful time and the sorrows of a small heart
appeared to be shining very beautifully

The wind blows against the silent you
That's just so pleasant I sing a little song

When you stare at me, I can't really breathe
Hey... please don't laugh)
Yasashii Gogo - D.N.Angel ED Theme

My common tests officially begin tomorrow, starting with one of my weaker subjects, Maths and ending with Network Technology. Despite my class only having two tests, the material for Network Tech is quite a lot. Really hope to do well in these tests, with God's Grace and a bit of help from Jodi-sensei.

It was a study week (a.k.a Term Break) for us, as you might know from my previous entry. Honestly, I didn't study the whole time. Quite a part of it was taken up my Championship Manager 03/04 and Final Fantasy X2. However, I didn't slack off the whole time, eventually I did study and have nearly finished writing the Networking notes for the test.

To my knowledge, at least 1 Junior College(ACJC) has finished their A-level prelims. Yap Xiong said it wasn't too bad (or at least thats what I thing he said...). SRJC will be starting theirs this week(?). So good luck to you, JY.

Went to school to study with a couple of my classmates. It turned out to be a smart move of course, with Jodi-sensei there to guide us, the lost sheep, with her wisdom in Mathematics. You have my eternal gratitude of course. Thanks to you, I'll probably pass my Maths. Also, good luck to those taking Cost Accounting too. For Networking, I'll probably need more wisdom from Jodi-sensei and perhaps Che Wei or Kris? Despite my A Grade for Networking in year 1, I am not some kind of Genius in it, so stop depending on me for Networking tips.

And to SJ's sister if you happen to read this, perhaps I should get to know you better? I find it rather unusual for me not to know someone who borrows my manga and anime on a somewhat regular basis. ^_^
