It started like any other night...

Song of the moment: Hoobastank - Running Away

It has been a somewhat hectic week for me. We're all starting to feel the pressure of school, whether knowingly or unknowingly. Then there was the Daniel Zhang Feng Qi interview on Thursday, which went quite alright...thankfully he's not the gay everyone thought he was. Although I had a little problem with the tape recorder in the beginning, it did work out in the end. However, from the concert, I can see that I am not going to be a fan of his music anytime soon. His voice sounds a little scratchy and soft, and his music is basically a mix of Wilber Pan and David Tao. His fan base mainly consists of screaming secondary school girls, which I try to avoid mixing with. Unless of course, my future mate is among them (only those above 15 with pleasant looks and personality need apply...lol). Anyways, Wee Kiat, Amanda, Wallz and I went to have 'Xiao Wo Mian' for dinner at this hawker place in Ang Mo Kio. It was reasonably tasty and I certainly wouldn't mind going there again. Amanda had to leave early because she was going somewhere with her family.

On Wednesday, I went to watch M. Night Shyamalan's 'The Village' with Nat and Kris at Cathay Causeway Point. Despite Felicia's and Serena's advice, I went to watch the movie anyway. It was only towards the end of the movie which I realized my mistake. Basically, it's about this village (obviously...) stuck right in the middle of some forest. Apparently, there's some scary monster(s?) in the woods which are attracted to the color red. The humans in the village and the creatures have a sort of truce, which involves the humans not going into the forest and the creatures not coming to their village. You should be able to see where this is going so I won't elaborate anymore. The scary parts are scary but this movie gives new meaning to 'unexpected ending', which really negates all the effort the director put into scaring us. (Rating: 2.5/5)

On Sunday however, I went to watch a reasonably better movie (after church of course, Shu Wei and Ke Song) called 'Collateral'. It's about this assassin (Tom Cruise) who happens to take a cab with an interesting driver (Jamie Foxx), while going on a killing spree around the city. This movie, is not about the killings, but its about the relationship between the cab driver and the assassin and how they eventually, change each others life. So if you're looking for a lots of action and blood, please give this a miss. (Rating: 4/5)

Lots of things are happening this week, so if you have anything to say or do to someone, please make it quick.
