This Love has taken its toll...

Song of the moment: Maroon 5 - This Love

I was so high I did not recognize
The fire burning in her eyes
The chaos that controlled my mind
Whispered goodbye and she got on a plane
Never to return again
But always in my heart

This love has taken its toll on me
She said Goodbye too many times before
And her heart is breaking in front of me
I have no choice cause I won't say goodbye anymore

'This Love' by Maroon 5

This song holds special meaning to me, especially considering recent events which have happened around me. All these talk about break-ups, make-ups, rejection and acceptance has led me to think about the fragility of this so-called 'Romantic Relationships'. When are we really mature enough to be in such a relationship? Just how serious are we supposed to treat these kind of relationships? Do we really have what it takes to handle the ups and downs of such relationships?

Got our(my class) common test time tables. It seems that we MIT students have only two common tests for next week (Networking and Maths). Less tests = More time to study, so I suppose its a good thing. We also got to hand in our semestral project reports in a couple of weeks time, so I got to get started on that to.

Had to head back to school today for a make-up Networking lecture, despite it being our study week. A total waste of my time I reckon. All Mister NSB did was go through the answers to our previous lab, which he had already done during our last lab session with him. Probably would have learned more had I stayed behind at home (provided I chose to study of course). Anyways, in celebration of Keting's and Winnie's birthday, we went to this Dim Sum place at Paragon. The 'Xiao Long Bao' there was absolutely fantastic. After that, I chose to go home while most of the remaining people went to K Box to sing to their heart's content.

Coincidentally, I found out about a couple of things today. Apparently Keting has broken up with Ivan. This is apparently 'old' news (I am guessing at least a week old?). This just shows how far down I am in my class's information grapevine. I mean, we're classmates darn it!? And this apparently 'newer' piece of information (it happened a couple of days ago and half the class, including me, found out today), Jon has apparently lost out to Kris's older brother, James, in the race to be Huai Yu's (forgive me if I got the spelling wrong) boyfriend. Considering that Jon has known Huai Yu months before James and started wooing her like at least a month before James made his intentions known, I am kind of disappointed in Jon (Quote from Gary:"She(Huai Yu) gave Jon a few chances, Jon just didn't take them"). Still, no use crying over spilt milk, just wish Huai Yu happiness in her new relationship.

Speaking of relationships, there seems to be a burgeoning "friendship" (romance?) between two people in my class. In respect to their privacy (and the fact that they probably haven't realized it yet), I won't reveal their names outright, however I can say that both their names have already been mentioned in this particular entry of my blog. As Jodi says, 'Let Nature take its Course'.
